11th International Conference on Nuclei in the Cosmos
The 11th International Conference on Nuclei in the Cosmos will be held in Heidelberg during 19-23 July 2010. The Local Organising Committee is lead by Norbert Christlieb of the Zentrum für Astronomie, Landessternwarte (LSW), Klaus Blaum of the Max-Planck- Institut für Kernphysik (MPI-K), and Gabriel Martinez Pinedo of the Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung (GSI). The conference is expected to be attended by by about 300 scientists from all over the world. The conference venue will be the Stadthalle.
In the week before the conference, a summer school on nuclear astrophysics will be held at GSI in Darmstadt and at the Landessternwarte, where the students will have the opportunity to learn about observational aspects of the research field.
